An effective and motivating training methodology.

The choice of location, together with the tailor-made design of the event are key aspects to give value to a team building and to touch the benefits beyond the playful aspect.

All courses include the presence of Axioma senior professors in order to provide theoretical elements, coordinate the work, observe group dynamics and report feedback to the company as well as manage the follow-up after the event in a productive manner.

At the end of the course a video is produced to support the positive anchorage and the starting point for any further reflections and investigations

COOKING TEAM

Features.

It’s an innovative solution which works both on the educational and motivational levels and makes use of the metaphor of running a restaurant to reproduce the entire customer service process by suggesting, out of context, common teamwork situations.

The combination of both kitchen and restaurant hall management highlights all the issues which come about in a partnership between the production and sales team, allowing professionals to work, for example, with reversed roles compared to business environment.

This technique is particularly effective to trigger the learning process, for it plays a major role on both the emotional and cognitive level of people, leading to the development and training of skills like time and resources administration and problem solving.

There are two versions of cooking team 3.0 according to the number of participants, roles and the level of commitment needed.

  1. Training of the mere management team (made up of max. 20 people): the restaurant guests are not part of the company.

  2. Training of the management team along with involvement of the entire production centre. This will work through a parallel path specially made according to the company’s needs (reorganisation, new opening, and so on). In this second version, the restaurant guests are already part of the business involved in the training, which makes the final dinner turn into a proper corporate event.

SPY GAME

Features.

The team building was supposed and planned to be as a real spy game in which the participants will be called to complete a "Top Secret Mission" facing different tests (release hostages, rescue of secret information, subtraction of weapons of mass destruction and much more), in an "unknown" territory.

In this spy game the participants will compete in various physical activities such as orienteering to find wrecks or secret shelters, soft air in case of clash with enemy forces, or purely strategic activities, such as the decoding of encrypted messages, the negotiation with the counterpart to release hostages rather than to define commercial agreements with foreign governments.

Depending on the number and type of participants as well as the training needs, it is possible to modulate the difficulty / complexity of the Spy Game and therefore the type of mission that the participants will have to complete. The multiplicity of roles required allows us to manage even participants with specific needs.

Technical notes.

During the game all the participants will be connected to each other through a wireless system that can be perfectly integrated with geo-location systems.

According to the game weapons can be used only against enemy spies and not among the participants.

The weapons support the new X-tag technology, they do not use any type of "physical" projectile, but only infrared rays.

We chose to use this innovative technology as it allows:
  • Being able to use any type of clothing during the game.
  • Do not use heavy and/or bulky technical equipment (belts, masks, loaders, visors, etc.)
  • Enjoying a gaming experience without any risk because infrared rays are completely safe and painless compared to compressed air shot or ink cartridges.

MAKING MOVIES

Features.

Team building consists of two phases:

  • Phase 1 - collection of tools. This first phase includes the division into teams that will have to pass some ability and ingenuity tests that will determine the achievement of a score useful for the second phase.
  • Phase 2 - video realization. Each group receives a series of materials and instruments proportionally to the result of the first phase; it will have to make a short film with the subject of the course (new product, new opening, brand values, etc.).

The videos produced will be shown and evaluated by exceptional jurors on the basis of parameters shared with the company management. The productions will remain in the company for the use of internal marketing.

SAILING TEAM

Features.

Among the various team building methodologies the sailing boat is the one that best because it combines the motivational aspects with the training ones due to some peculiarities since it represents a metaphor very close to the company context and so the experience is immediately applicable to the own working reality. It also favors the respect of the roles and the importance of the team to the detriment of the talent of the single because each role is equally important and without the contribution of everyone it is not possible to navigate.

The participants, after a first part of theoretical and practical training, will go out to sea to try out on the field what they have learned and test the working method by rotating all the roles.

The second day will begin with the assignment of the roles to be held during the regatta and the definition of the strategy. After a training session the competition on the race course will begin.

In addition to the crew on each boat and for the duration of the outdoor will be present a teacher with tasks of facilitator/observer who will:

  • Coordinate the works.
  • To encourage everyone's participation.
  • Stimulate the group.
  • Write down the most significant dynamics.
  • Coordinate the debrief.
  • Photograph and film the highlights.

The skipper will guarantee safety on board and will teach participants how to carry out the exercises proposed by the teacher.

Both will have to limit themselves to provide all the tools / knowledge to complete the work and ask for the result of the briefing before it is actually put into practice.

The boat will be taken by the crew IN AUTONOMY.
